If you are looking for some deep, ballsy theatre, A Little Life in London West End is a serious play that is seriously good!
Based on an acclaimed multimillion selling novel of the same name by Hanya Yanagihara, A Little Life in London Theatres tells the story of four deeply troubled college friends in New York as they pursue a variety of careers while dealing with the problems of life. James Norton of ‘Happy Valley’ fame plays the main protagonist, Jude: An exceptional lawyer with an exceptionally mysterious past. Addiction, pride and ambition come up against love as the group of four bind together to survive the storms of life.
James Norton is not the only famous actor appearing: A Little Life in London Theatreland has a star-studded cast including Luke Thompson from ‘Bridgerton’ playing Willem, an aspirational actor; Zach Wyatt from ‘The Witcher’ playing Malcolm, a successful architect; and Omari Douglas from ‘It’s A Sin’ playing JB, a struggling artist.
A Little Life in London Theatreland is directed by visionary Belgian director Ivo van Hove whose previous work includes the renowned ‘A View from the Bridge’. Ivo van Hove managed to turn the famous book into a play even after it was said to be unadaptable for TV due to its heavy emotional content as the characters endure terrible turns in their lives.
Elliot Cowan from ‘The Crown’ also appears on stage in A Little Life in London West End as well as Nathalie Armin from ‘Force Majeure’, Emilio Doorgasingh from ‘Best of Enemies’ and Zubin Varla from ‘Tammy Faye’.
A Little Life in London Theatreland is the debut English language version of a play that has been running for a few years already in Dutch.
