The new Mercure London Hyde Park will accept its first guests in November, AccorHotels has confirmed.
The hotel, which is situated at 8 – 14 Talbot Square in four grade II listed London Victorian mansions, just two minutes’ walk from both Paddington and Lancaster Gate stations.
The hotel will house 72 rooms including three suites and will be run by London Town Group of Companies Ltd under franchise.
Koolesh Shah, Managing Director of London Town Group of Companies Ltd (franchise) commented: “This will be our third Mercure in central London, the others being in Kensington and Paddington, and we are delighted to be opening the hotel in such historic buildings. The stature of the buildings compliments the high quality brand that Mercure offers its guests in this desirable part of London.”
Speaking of the impending opening, Thomas Dubaere, managing director of AccorHotels UK & Ireland commented: “This will be a great new hotel in a prime site in the heart of London and marks another step in the growth of our brands in the UK. Accelerating the franchise growth of the Mercure brand is one of our strategic priorities and this is the kind of opportunity we’re looking to replicate in the right sites across the UK.”
