Serpentine New Year’s Day fun run 2023
The Serpentine New Year’s Day fun run is back! Starting in Hyde Park, runners have a choice between a 3k or 10k run to start off their New Year with a rush. The race itself starts at 11am and runners navigate on entirely traffic free paths through Hyde Park, most of the race takes place in the grounds of Kensington Gardens. Depending on which length the runners have opted for beforehand, participants run up to two full laps in Kensington Gardens before making a return to Hyde Park where they complete the race on the north side of the Serpentine next to the Boat House.
The race itself consists of six hundred and fifty runners and is open to all abilities, however there is a cut off time of two hours due to the popularity of both Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. Participants will have the luxury of seeing several iconic landmarks that make Kensington Gardens so special, including Kensington Palace, the Italian Gardens, and the Henry Moore statue to name a few.
